The drum type coupling has high rigidity, strong flexibility, and no elasticity, and is not suitable for vibration reduction, buffering, and mechanical equipment with very strict requirements for both axles.
Installation and positioning of drum shaped gear coupling
1) Installation of outer gear shaft ring
Installing the outer gear sleeve ring on the shaft is the key to coupling assembly. There is an interference fit between the outer gear sleeve shaft hole and the power end crankshaft, which is combined with a key. During assembly, temperature difference assembly is used.
Before assembly, check the outer gear sleeve ring. The accuracy of the middle hole size and crankshaft diameter coaxiality must be below 0.03mm, and both must be within the tolerance range required by the drawing design. This is a prerequisite for ensuring the quality of coupling assembly. When machining the outer gear sleeve ring, it is necessary to complete a one-time clamping of the middle hole and outer circle to ensure that the coaxiality accuracy meets the requirements of the drawing, and the assembly standard is consistent with the machining standard requirements.
2) Cleaning
Before installation, please clean the parts thoroughly, and wipe the cleaned parts with any cleaning solution.
3) Hot software
The heating furnace usually heats up to around 200, and the temperature during assembly should not exceed 180.
2) Positioning of drum gear coupling
The outer gear shaft ring, etc. are respectively installed on the output shaft and power end crankshaft of the reducer. Firstly, based on the reliable positioning and fixation of the power end, move the gearbox part for positioning.
Without rotating the two axes, use a level, angle ruler, ruler, and plug gauge to adjust the outer circumference and end faces of the two outer gear sleeve rings for alignment. First, use a level to measure the levelness of the workbench, calculate, analyze, and adjust based on the detection data. Use an angle ruler to measure the end face of the outer gear sleeve ring for adjustment, and use a plug gauge to measure the end face of the outer gear sleeve ring.
Fix the Percentile on the outer gear ring at the power end, put its gauge pointer against the tooth root circular end face of the outer gear ring at the reducer end, adjust the gauge to zero, make the outer gear ring at the reducer end rotate slowly, record the data of the dial indicator at every speed of 45, test its average value for many times, and measure the data. Adjust the micrometer to the outermost outer circle of the outer toothed shaft ring I at the reducer end, so that the clock is zero, and rotate the outer toothed shaft ring I at the reducer end. Record the data every 45 rotations, test the average value multiple times, and analyze the measurement data to accurately calculate the coaxiality deviation of the outer circles of the two outer toothed shaft rings. Installation of remaining parts and maintenance and protection of couplings
The drum coupling is composed of an outer gear shaft ring, gear ring, end cover, cover, sealing ring, coupling bolts, etc. Due to the fact that the end cap and inner hole of the cover on the outer end of the gear ring are smaller than the maximum outer circle of the outer gear shaft ring, it is necessary to install the outer gear shaft ring on the shaft before installing it. After assembling the outer gear ring and shaft, install the gear ring, then look for the plus sign, find the plus sign, and then install.
In order to smoothly transmit torque, the two gear rings need to be tightened with precision machined nails. During assembly, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions. The engagement of the coupling needs to work in an oil bath, and after installing lubricating oil, it needs to be assembled and sealed to avoid oil leakage.
